Youth Employment Program

Organically Grown.

Many aspects of Ruth Bennett Community Farm have evolved naturally over the years in response to the needs and desires of the surrounding community. The Youth Employment Program, which is now going into its 7th year, is an example of this type of organic growth.

The crew has grown based on interest from youth in the community. Now the farm has 10 teenagers from Chester working at least two days a week over the summer. Over the years, workshops and field trips have been added to the program to enhance the experience for the youth cohort.
