What We Do
The Farm
Located inside the Bennett Homes, the Ruth Bennett Community Farm has become a small hub for food access and community growth.
Check out our programming.
Food Access
We are committed to providing Chester and Delaware County residents with increased access to pesticide-free and nutrient-dense produce. To fulfill this mission, we hold FREE biweekly produce distributions with vegetables we grow at the farm, as well additional produce and eggs we buy. Distributions are open to all!
Youth Involvement
Each year we pay a small crew of teenagers to work at the farm. They participate in workshops, assist in food distributions and learn soft skills that they can apply in their future job endeavors. Our Youth Internship is a great way for teens to learn community building skills.
Cut Flowers
We grow cut flowers and sell bouquets at market as a revenue source. The perennials we plant attract pollinators and contribute to building a health local ecosystem. Flowers are a beautiful way to show our gratitude!
